That’s why we’re proud to have our very own Durable Medical Equipment (DME) department, a dedicated team ensuring that hospice patients and families have access to the essential medical devices they need to live comfortably and independently.

While there is no official holiday to honor these behind-the-scenes heroes, we’re thrilled to announce that January 13th–17th will be celebrated as DME Appreciation Week at Solaris Healthcare! This week is dedicated to recognizing the hard work, expertise, and commitment of our DME team, whose contributions are vital to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Durable Medical Equipment plays a critical role in supporting hospice patients with chronic illnesses, injuries, or disabilities. From wheelchairs and hospital beds to oxygen equipment and mobility aids, these tools enhance comfort, improve quality of life, and empower independence.
